HMCTS Administration service is a service we pay for, but which is also funded by the Government, through our taxes. We are the customer, they are the service provider. Their service should be run like an efficient business. They should be held to account. If it is not run to the highest standard possible, and the customer suffers as a result of that, then there should be consequences. An apology is not sufficient. A refund or compensation from HMCTS must be a choice which the customer is entitled to ask for and receive.

First MeetingWe welcome all litigants who feel that because of the poor standard and quality of service they received by the admin office of the Family Court they dealt with, they have been really let down by the system, and it negatively impacted on their mental health, financial resources, and the progress or outcome of their case. HMCTS assures customers that making a complaint about the service they receive(d) will not be held against them.

Benefits of #Watchdog Membership

We help our members. You will be required to join for a 3, 6 or 12 month membership. Once you become a member, we will email a Questionnaire for you to complete about your experiences. The length of your membership will probably depend on the extent of the problems you have experienced with the admin office(s), how long it will take for you to compete our Questionnaire about your experiences, and how much information you provide us to review and comment on. Therefore, it is vitally important that you only give us the facts that we ask for, and not give us details which are not relevant.

Important: Where you believe it is necessary to show us copies of court admin office letters and emails to you, we will need you to redact the names of third parties, e.g. children’s names, and names and addresses of the other party, so that their private details cannot be shared with us.

If we believe that the admin office in question has provided you with a really poor service*, and that it has impacted on your finances, your mental health or the outcome of your case, we will send you a detailed Complaint letter template to use to communicate all of the details of your complaint to the appropriate admin office.

Please select which membership you would like, and an Invoice will be emailed to you.

Option 1: is for a 3 months membership and will cost £149.00.
Option 2: is for a 6 months membership and will be £249.00
Option 3: is a full 12 months membership and the cost is £499.00.


First MeetingWhat happens next

We will collate your data, analyse it and provide you with an appropriate complaint template seeking a refund of court fees or a level of compensation which we think is fair and reasonable, based on the experience you have had and the impact it has had on your mental health, finances and outcome of your case.

The more data you can provide us and the more detailed it is, the higher the probability you have of lodging a well communicated, strong complaint**.
